Brachiation
Description
Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, it was possible to drive all the way up into Embudo Canyon. Here most of the local bouldering was done - dozens of problems & short routes, maybe hundreds. Brachiation is one. The name refers to a form of arboreal locomotion in which primates swing from tree limb to tree limb using only their arms, which is how this boulder problem goes in basically two moves: 1) face out & hook lip with toes, 2) swing around & mantel.
Location
Just uphill from Free Cap'n.
Protection
This is a very committing problem. Pads & spotters are a must. Once grasping the lip there is little choice but to finish ...
